THE PARENTS of a man stabbed to death by a paranoid schizophrenic have spoken in a documentary of how they feel a mental health trust let them down.
Jim and Judy Cargill, of Rose Drive, Chesham, were featured in BBC 2 documentary 'Why did you kill my dad?' on Monday.
The programme was made by film-maker Julian Hendy, who visited Chesham to speak to the Cargills, after his own father, 75-year-old Philip Hendy was stabbed to death in 2007 by a mentally-ill stranger.
AFTER three months without a town centre Post Office following its shock closure, the Chesham branch reopened its doors to the relief and joy of residents.
The facility in The Broadway relaunched under new management following a battle by its users. It unexpectedly shut without notice on November 13.
Customers faced long queues at the Great Hivings branch in Greenway Parade branch during the Christmas period, and others from the town who were forced to travel to the Amersham branch during the worst snowy and icy conditions the country has faced for 30 years.
VEOLIA Waters Three Valleys has restored water back to Chesham and said it will keep engineers in the town this weekend to make sure the problem is not repeated.
Thousands of residents lost their water supply on Friday (26/2) with technicians working throughout the day to get power back.
A statement from Veolia Waters Three Valleys said: "Our technician has confrmed that normal pressure has been resumed, and water supply to affected properties should now be restored.
"Work will be ongoing throughout the afternoon and during the weekend to ensure normal operations and good pressure is maintained."
THE water supply has been completely cut-off in Chesham affecting thousands of residents.
Veolia Waters Three Valleys is investigating the problem and trying to resolve it as quickly as possible.
A statement fromt he company said: "Our repair team on site have identified the issue and are hoping to restore the supply to normal within the next 2 hours. Please be aware that this may be at a reduced pressure temporarily, whilst pressure in the main builds.
"We would like to thank you for you ongoing patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused during this interruption."
