Posted by Camilla Goodman on Dec 14, 12 03:54 PM in What's On

A TOWN will be spoilt for choice when it comes to Christmas carol services this weekend.

Hundreds of people are expected to flock to St Mary's Church, in Church Street at the weekend.

St Mary's Church will be putting on a service titled Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on Sunday (Dec 16) from 6pm.

More than 500 people are expected to attend, so people are advised to come early if they would like a seat.

The whole church will be lit in candlelight.

Christ Church, in Waterside, will also be hosting its carol service.

The specially formed Waterside Christmas Choir, made up of people from Chesham and Ley Hill, will be performing at its free carol service this Sunday.

The choir will perform two songs by itself with the whole congregation joining in with other carols.

Doors open at 7.30pm and the free carol service starts at 8pm with tea and coffee.

Emmanuel Church, in Broad Street, will be hostings its Nativity and Family Carols service on Sunday at 9am and 11am and its Carols by Candlelight event at 7pm.

We'd like to hear from you.

Irritating style developing on this site...'a town will be spoilt for choice' ? Which town would that be ? I worked out it was Chesham myself. Why not say it straightaway ? Honestly, no wonder hardly anyone buys the paper itself anymore. None of my neighbours do these days and even I have given up recently.
