Teenager stars in TV advert alongside Cheryl Cole

A TEENAGER has proven that she is worth it after beating thousands of other girls to star in a television advert alongside Cheryl Cole.
Robyn Harker, 18, of Hollybush Lane, Chesham Bois, will be on our screens at the end of the month after she landed a role to star in the L'Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss advert after winning a competition run on social networking site Facebook.
Out of the thousands of girls that applied three were chosen to represent red heads, blondes and brunettes - with Robyn being selected for the latter.
The fine art student at Amersham and Wycombe college could not believe her luck when she was told she got the part.
She said: "I actually honestly didn't think I'd get it so I was shocked when they called me. I didn't expect to win. I'm really pleased. It was very hard keeping it a secret until the day of the shoot.
"The shoot was pretty nerve-wracking but the staff and directors were really lovely. It was really fun but also hard work. It does not sound like it, but we were doing 12, 14, 16 hour days.
"I was not planning on entering the competition and then I saw an advert on L'Oreal's [Facebook] page and I thought why not, there's a chance I could win.
"I'm really excited. It was such an experience. I can't wait to see the final advert.
"I'll probably be a bit embarrassed the first time I see it and I'll think that's not really me. When we were filming it didn't sink in and I kept saying to the other girls 'this can't actually be happening, we're just three normal girls.'"
Robyn, whose mother is Amersham Mayor Mimi Harker, got to say the iconic line "because we're worth it" with Cheryl Cole in the advert.
She said: "It was absolutely amazing. Cheryl is so down to earth and lovely and gave us lots of great advice."
Robyn is not planning on doing any more modelling or television work but hopes to go to university in September to study textile design.
She said: "I'm planning on having a normal life. I don't think I could do it full time, I'd be quite happy with a normal job."
