Little Spring open new library

Posted by Greg Burns on Feb 8, 10 10:31 AM in Schools/colleges

A NEW state-of-the-art library at Little Spring School was opened for business last week.
The ribbon was cut on the library, which cost nearly £7,000 to spruce up, by Cheryl Gillan MP on Friday (05/02) as she was given a guided tour of the facility and the school, in Greenway, Chesham.
The Amersham and Chesham MP was given a presented by the school council on how the new library works and enjoyed tea and cakes as she sat in on an art lesson.

Mary Paton, headteacher, said: "The library was in desperate need of modernising, because it had become quite dated, and we wanted to make it a really special place for learning.
"Mrs Gillan seemed impressed with the new facility and enjoyed the cakes which were made by our school council.
"The children are already really enjoying the new library and have really embraced reading and choosing all the wonderful books on offer."

We'd like to hear from you.
