The Beacon welcomes young head
THE Beacon School was under the rule of a fresh-faced headmaster as one of their students took the helm.
James Gill, nine, greeted parents at the school, in Chesham Bois, on Monday, December 7, before taking a special assembly and shadowing headteacher Paul Brewster for the day.
James' parents bid for the prize at the Parents Society summer party in July and also held a meeting with catering manager Dean Collins to discuss menu choices.
As a result, the entire school was served a meal of James' choosing yesterday (Wednesday) which consisted of tomato soup, homemade chicken goujons with coleslaw, mixed salad and potato wedges, topped off with a treacle tart and custard.
The day ended with Mr Brewster joined by James and his parents for tea in his study.
