Chesham High musicians put on Workaid carols
CAROLS echoed out from Workaid last week as musicians from Chesham High School paid a visit.
The charity, in Townsend Road, Chesham, was packed to the rafters with guests last Friday (11/12) who sang along with five classic carols - One In Royal David's City, Oh Little Town of Bethlehem, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, The First Nowell the Angel Did Say, and Oh Come All Ye Faithful.
Letters of thanks were read out between each carol from African communities in Kenya, Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania, and Mozambique who have benefited from tools and aid sent by the charity this year.
Sylvia Parrott, Workaid chairman, said: "It was absolutely fantastic. When you read those letters you realise just how little they have and it makes us feel so proud to be able to do our bit and help them each year."
We'd like to hear from you. Send your stories, pics and videos
