Thousands turn out for Victorian Evening

Posted by Greg Burns on Nov 30, 09 02:59 PM in People

CHESHAM High Street was lit up as the town's festive celebrations were officially kicked off with the traditional Victorian Evening.
The event, on Friday night (27/11), was sponsored by the Bucks Examiner, Waitrose, Chesham Action Partnership, Domestic Services, and Gilberts Taxi, and is organised by the Chesham Chamber of Trade & Commerce.
Thousands turned out to watch the parade from High Street to Market Square at 6pm before the Christmas lights were switched on by town mayor Justine Fulford.
People enjoyed the late-night shopping while young and old tried out a variety of fairground rides on offer.
For more pictures see this week's Buckinghamshire Examiner out on Thursday, December 3.
