Pair prosecuted for dumping waste
A QUICK-THINKING witness helped Bucks County Council prosecute two young men of dumping waste in Chesham.
Tristan Gristwood, 21, of Bellingdon Road, and Christopher Haines, 21, of Marston Close, were ordered to carry out 60 hours community service and to pay a total of £300 at Aylesbury Magistrates Court on Monday (2/11).
The pair had pleaded guilty to illegally dumping black plastic bags containing hedge cuttings and other green waste outside a residential garage area in Mount Nugent.
A witness noted Gristwood's car registration number and reported to the police. The information was passed to the county council who prosecuted the pair.
