Fun in the autumn sun for youngsters
FAMILIES turned out in their numbers to enjoy the autumn sunshine at Elmtree Infant School's fayre.
Former and current pupils helped out on stalls at the event organised by the Parent Teacher Association on Sunday to raise funds for new play equipment and a new library at the school in Elmtree Hill, Chesham.
The youngsters took on a task to improve their school environment by planting samplings donated to the school by The Woodland Trust.
Chairperson of the PTA Kirsten Gray said: "The fayre was successful We had lots of stalls including a mehndi henna hand painting one and the tombola and toy ones are always popular. The weather was lovely, on Saturday we were slightly nervous about it but it was a lot better.
The school is having a lot of refurbishment work on classrooms at the moment so the PTA is trying to come up with money to create a new library."
She said early indications are that the fayre had raised a profit of approximately £1,000.
