New bus to link Chesham and Heathrow

Posted by Greg Burns on Sep 21, 09 11:00 AM in People

CHESHAM residents will be able to travel to Heathrow Airport by bus in just over an hour when a new service is launched on Monday.
Carousel Buses and Transport for Buckinghamshire will begin running the A30 bus service starting from Chesham Broadway before heading through Amersham, Chalfont St Giles, Gerrards Cross, and Denham.

The first bus will leave Chesham at 6am on Monday to Fridays and will reach the airport by 6.57am with the last bus leaving Heathrow at 7.05pm and returning to Chesham at 8.05pm.
Buses will leave the town every hour throughout the day.
Steve Burns, Carousel managing director, said: "We are really excited about the launch of these routes. We believe they are ideal for passengers whether travelling to work, on a shopping trip, or off to catch a plane."
Valerie Letheren, Bucks County Council cabinet member for transportation, said: "Carousel already provides a first class service to passengers with the A40 and the increase in journeys will enhance this service further.
"The A30 will be a welcome addition and will improve the level of service in Amersham and Chesham.
"Transport for Buckinghamshire will continue to work with bus companies to promote and improve services."

We'd like to hear from you.
