Golfers raise hundreds for cancer charity
GOLFERS in fancy dress helped to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Research at Chartridge Park Golf Club last month.
The ladies section of the club, in Chesham, threw themselves into the spirit of the event with some dressing up as a nun, a dalmation, witches, French waitresses, and even a pig.
The pairs competition was won by Sandie Witt and Morag Waddell and the prizes for the most inventive costumes went to Kate Harper, Chris Ingram, Amanda Griggs, Sue Osborne, Sonja Ballingall, Sue Pogson, Barbara Butcher and Sandra Thompson.
A total of £450 was raised on the day for Breast Cancer Research bringing the total raised by the ladies of Chartridge Park over the past three years for Breast Cancer to £1,400.
