George helps spread green message

ONE eco-friendly boy earned himself a famous Blue Peter badge for a poem which has now become his school's new motto.
George Blackmore, of Elmtree School, Chesham, took up the challenge to pen a ditty to support his school aiming for Eco Schools status.

After sending it to the children's television show in the spring he received his special badge this week.
In their bid for Eco School status the school has conducted a review into their litter, waste, energy, school grounds, biodiversity, transport and healthy living.

George's Poem
Reduce, reuse, recycle.
Energy - turn off light's when you're out of the room.
Compost - always put cores and skins in the compost bins.
You always have to have five portions of fruit a day.
Care about the world.
Litter - never drop it on the floor.
Everyday, try and walk to school.

We'd like to hear from you.
