The station, in Broad Street, will be see its present security and front counter updated, in a project which is expected to cost thousands of pounds although Thames Valley Police have have refused to reveal the price of the work due to commercial confidence.

If the refurbishment goes to plan the station will re-open on November 9.
A TVP spokesman said: "Members of the public will still be able to use Amersham and Great Missenden police stations during the refurbishment and a mobile police station will also go out to the community on a regular basis."
