GCSE: Chesham Park Community College
CHESHAM Park Community College celebrated their best every GCSE results in its 20 year history.
The school, in Chartridge Lane, saw 37 per cent of students achieving at least five A*-C grades including English and maths - a seven per cent improvement on 2008.
Also 43 per cent of students achieved five C grades or above.
Kevin Patrick, headteacher, said: "The college results have continued to improve year on year. This a reflection on the dedicated and hard working staff supporting the students and on the tremendous effort of all the students.
"The students have high aspirations for the future and they have made such an effort to achieve these grades."
Hannah Walker, achieved B grades, said: "I am so happy, I am going to party hard to celebrate."
Lucy O'Neill, earned seven As, one B, and one C grade and is going to study English Literature, music, psychology, and business studies at the sixth form.
She said: "I was so nervous this morning and I was awake really early worrying about it. But now I am so pleased.
"I am going out for a meal to celebrate and will also get my haircut I think."
The college sixth form is set to treble in size this year after more students have opted to stay on and study their A-levels.
