Also 43 per cent of students achieved five C grades or above.

"The students have high aspirations for the future and they have made such an effort to achieve these grades."
Hannah Walker, achieved B grades, said: "I am so happy, I am going to party hard to celebrate."
Lucy O'Neill, earned seven As, one B, and one C grade and is going to study English Literature, music, psychology, and business studies at the sixth form.
She said: "I was so nervous this morning and I was awake really early worrying about it. But now I am so pleased.
"I am going out for a meal to celebrate and will also get my haircut I think."
The college sixth form is set to treble in size this year after more students have opted to stay on and study their A-levels.
