Heritage House to push on with building project

MEMBERS of Chess Valley Male Voice Choir donated the final funds to the Heritage House Outdoor Learning Zone fundraising project which will now be built this summer.
The special school, in Cameron Road, Chesham, received the £1,000 donation from choir members Brian Long and John Richardson last week meaning they have now reached their £40,000 target.

The money will be spent on the learning zone which will help provide pupils with the opportunity to develop their skills outdoors.
Headteacher Suzanne Pennington said: "Much of our work centres on developing the pupils understanding of the world around them through their senses.
"The area will have different paths for the pupils to travel over and through such as cobbles, grass and wooden posts. Raised beds will provide areas for our pupils to plant seeds and grow scented and edible plants.
"A wheelchair swing will enable many of our pupils to experience the wind in their hair and the feeling of flying that many of them will never have experienced before.
"Music and sound making are favourite activities and the link with the Chesham Male Voice Choir has benefited our pupils in many ways.
"The work will commence in the summer holidays and we look forward to a grand opening in the Autumn Term."

We'd like to hear from you.
