Blooming good Chesham garden entries
A RECORD number of homeowners put their gardens forward for the Chesham In Bloom competition this year with the winners announced this week.
Front gardens were judged over two days on colour and looks, maintenance, sustainability and their impact on the neighbourhood.
The large front garden winner was Mrs Barnard of 9 Fullers Close, who won £50 voucher from Farnham Common Nursery, while the small front garden winner was Mrs Greenwood of 15 Rose Drive, who won a £50 voucher from Paradigm Housing.
The container competition was won by Mr Crompton, of 16 Hillside, and the winning business was The Queen's Head pub who won cinema tickets at The Elgiva.
Kathryn Graves, of the Chesham In Bloom committee, said: "Chesham in Bloom is keen to have even more entries next year - and it's never too early to start planning a display.
