A FOUNDING member of The Beacon School was joined by other pupils past and present to celebrate a special reunion on Sunday.
Anthony King was one of five boys at the school when it opened in 1934 which is represented by its logo - a star with five points.
He was alongside 50 former pupils returned to the school, in Chesham Bois, which now has 400 pupils, who were given a tour by the year eight boys before sitting down for lunch.

The event was the inaugural launch of the Old Beaconian Society and some of its oldest pupils and staff were presented with special ties.
Suzie Peck, director of development at the school, said: "A champagne toast was raised to the Old Beaconian Society before everyone adjourned to the school's playing fields where they watched the leavers play cricket against their fathers and enjoyed a cream tea."
Any former pupils or staff of The Beacon who did not attend this event but who would like to be invited to future events should contact the Development Office on 01494 736172 or development@beaconschool.co.uk.
