TWO Chilterns MPs met rail bosses this week to discuss their concerns about a high speed rail link running through the district.
Great Missenden MP David Lidlington and Amersham and Chesham MP Cheryl Gillan met Sir David Rowland, chairman of High Speed 2 Ltd (HS2), on Monday (29/6).
HS2 has been set up by the government to plan a high speed rail link between London and west Midlands and will present a report outlining their preferred route at the end of year.
There have been fears that it will run through the Chilterns.
CHESHAM Fairtrade and Shed@ThePark have teamed up to launch a new CD to help celebrate both of their birthday's this month.
Priced at £2.99, tracks from the CD will be performed in the town, including a Fairtrade-themed song called Sow, throughout July.
On Saturday at 12pm the theatre group will be performing outside the United Reformed Church, in Chesham Broadway, before playing at the Drawingroom between 5pm and 6pm.
A FOUNDING member of The Beacon School was joined by other pupils past and present to celebrate a special reunion on Sunday.

CHILTERN District Council have insisted the conservation area in Chesham is safe despite it being placed on the English Heritage 'at risk' register last week.
Last Tuesday (23/6) Chesham town centre and old town were named in the first ever list of areas which were at risk of 'neglect, decay, and damaging change'.
