Desperate plea to find missing dog
CONCERENED dog owners took to the Chesham streets in a desperate attempt to track down their rare dog which went missing earlier this month and is presumed stolen.
Jane and Steve Morris were walking with Harvey, a Hamiltonstovare, in woods near Pednor on May 6 when he ran away and has not been seen since.
The pair, accompanied by friends and fellow Hamiltonstovare dogs, gathered in the town centre on Saturday to distribute fliers and generate publicity about his disappearance.
They were joined by Crufts champion Kilcavan Just William and generated a lot of interest with over 1,000 flyers handed out.
Mr Morris said: "We just hope that this has helped someone to recognise what is a very distinctive and rare breed.
"We desperately miss Harvey and believe someone now has him and has not yet handed him in. We just want to appeal for any information leading to his return."
A 'Find Harvey The Dog' Facebook group now has more than 300 members and his owners are offering a 'large' reward for his safe return.
Anyone with information should call Mr Morris on 07887 632704 or 01494 784951. Alternatively call DogsLost in confidence on 0844 8003220 quoting reference 18316.
