Travelodge plans go to appeal
A DECISION on the Travelodge planning application in Chesham is moving ever closer after an appeal over the decision to reject the plans began this week.
Plans to build a £10m, 70-room, five-storey hotel in Station Road were turned down by Chiltern District Council last year.
Representatives from the council's planning department and the developer attended a public inquiry on Tuesday to debate parking and congestion issues.
The final decision will rest with a government planning inspector.
