Choir receives financial backing reward

THE Chess Male Voice Choir has been recognised for its charity work in the community by receiving a three year grant from the Buckinghamshire Foundation.
A first cheque of £1,000 was presented to chairman Mike Armstrong at their charity concert held at Amersham Free Church on Saturday raising funds for Heritage House School.
The money will go a long way towards freeing the choir from the pressures of running costs and enable it to devote more time to helping the community.
