Christmas Day baby born in Chesham
CHRISTMAS day was an ultra-joyous occasion for the Barrett family of Beechcroft Road in Chesham.
For the family received the best possible gift with the birth of a daughter, Emily Laura, who was born at the family home at 6.24am on the big day, weighing in at a healthy 6lb 4oz.
Mother Sarah Barrett, 32, and her husband Maik, 34, a purchasing administrator, were delighted with the new addition to the family.

They have two other children, eight year old Joshua, a pupil at Hawridge and Cholesbury Church of England School and daughter Jasmin, 16 months.
Mrs Barrett said: "It was a lovely surprise. Our best Christmas ever. It was a bit mad but Father Christmas had managed to visit us with the presents before the midwives arrived around 1am."
Mrs Barrett was cared for during labour by community midwife Vicky Bailey and her colleague Eileen Duell. "They were wonderfully supportive," said Mrs Barrett.
Emily Laura is named after Mrs Barrett's younger sister Laura, who sadly died 13 years ago aged five.
Mr Barrett said: "The children have reacted very well to the new arrival. Jasmin has already become quite protective of her sister.
"Emily Laura is quite a calm child and, already, she has settled into a feeding routine. It has been a happy time this Christmas."
