Headteacher Maureen Edwards bid farewell to her children at the end of the Christmas term.
Mrs Edwards, 64, received messages of good luck and gifts from her pupils at Little Spring School, on her last day before retirement on December 19.
CHRISTMAS day was an ultra-joyous occasion for the Barrett family of Beechcroft Road in Chesham.
For the family received the best possible gift with the birth of a daughter, Emily Laura, who was born at the family home at 6.24am on the big day, weighing in at a healthy 6lb 4oz.
Mother Sarah Barrett, 32, and her husband Maik, 34, a purchasing administrator, were delighted with the new addition to the family.
A charity which supports adults with learning disabilities benefited from a cuddly donation.
Award winning artist Elanor Andrews of Shantock Bears donated a special teddy bear which she had made to the Chiltern Friends of Endeavour for its Christmas raffle.
The bear, 'Abe' was produced as a one-off for the front cover of Teddy Bear Club International.
Staff and service users selected the winning ticket at a party at its day centre in Cameron Road, Chesham, on Friday.
Mark Leigh , who uses the centre picked out the winning ticket, belonging to a Mrs James.
A total of £605 was raised for the cause, which provides opportunities and activities for people in the area with learning difficulties aged 19 and above.
Residents have reacted with dismay after discovering their Christmas cards and presents could have been stolen.
Homeowners in Franchise Street and the surrounding area, Chesham, received a letter from the Post Office informing them of a theft from a 'mail pouch drop' nearby.
Mary Hyland, a retired postal and telegraph officer of Franchise Street, said: "We are still receiving our cards and I knew nothing about it until I had the letter.

Scannappeal, based at Amersham Hospital, is running its third annual sponsored slim in aid of its Cancer Fighting Fund. This Appeal is for state-of-the-art equipment to detect cancer, and for the treatment of cancer patients in the Buckinghamshire area.
An appeal against a decision to refuse permission to build flats on the site of an industrial building in Hospital Hill has been lodged.
An application for demolition of the building and construction of a three storey block of nine flats with a basement car park at the Chesham site, was turned down by Chiltern District Council's planning committee in October.
The Chesham Chamber of Trade & Commerce, supported by the Buckinghamshire Examiner, is setting up a Chesham Business Doctor's practice for businesses.
The practice will provide access to business doctors for companies, which are finding the going tough during the recession. It will also provide health checks for all businesses in the town that want to ensure they are in good shape to weather stormy economic times.
The chamber is looking for people who have appropriate experience advising and working with organisations of all sizes, in particular small businesses.

Sporting displays with the theme of the 2012 Olympic Games are set to take place in Chesham on Saturday (20/12).
The event, taking place in the town hall and High Street, is aimed at getting Chesham people involved in the sporting extravaganza.
Town clerk Bill Richards said: "We would like to get volunteers or someone from the town into the Olympics. Anyone who is interested in the Olympics or helping out is more than welcome to come along because it's taking place on our doorstep in London."
Refreshments will be provided.
Foe She@ThePark, 2008 has been a whirlwind of colour and excitement.
She@ThePark has had a fulfilling year, beginning in February with their annual production, which more than 100 young people took part in.
Then they performed at Waddesdon Arts Festival, the Pepper Concert in Berkhampsted, the Elgiva Theatre, High Wycombe and most of the Christmas festivities in Chesham and Amersham.
Waterside School pupils ensured other Chesham children enjoy a good read by choosing a new selection for the town's library.
The youngsters presented Chesham Library with books for its children's section on Friday after quizzing other classes on their favourite things to read.
