Chesham-Jackie-Stewart.jpgSIR Jackie Stewart joined a former teacher as the guest of honour for the opening of a new building at The Beacon School.
On Tuesday, the world-renowned racing driver joined former teacher Hugh Osborne to opening the new wing of the school in Chesham Bois.

Sir Jackie has three grandsons at the school and officially opened the building, named after Mr Osborne, last Tuesday.
He said: "It is a lovely school and we are very lucky to have it here and my grandchildren are very lucky to have it.
"It is a very well recognised and respected."
Mr Osborne joined the school as a maths and sports teacher in 1962 and retired in 1983 but has returned every day for lunch or to watch the boys play sports.
The 90-year-old said: "I have very fond memories and I have seen a lot of change.
'When I arrived there were 120 boys and 10 members of staff and now there are 440 boys.
"They make me so welcome and I would miss it very much.
"I am very honoured to have the building named after me and I'm now here in stone for ever."
Headteacher Micheal Spinneys said the project had started eight years ago and building began 14 months ago. It was the idea of matron Jenny Nicolls to honour Mr Osborne.
He said: "We wanted a building that was versatile, comfortable, attractive, technologically advanced and environmentally friendly."
The boys have listed their favourite bits of the new building, including the lighting, the computers and the way the classrooms feel relaxing.
It is the first two storey building on the site and a lift will make all the difference to pupil Freddie Sheffield who uses a wheel-chair.
He said: "It is really cool, there is a lift so I can get up the stairs and it has got lots of good facilities."
