Shooting drama

Chesham-Guns.jpgDramatic scenes unfolded late Sunday afternon when armed police and the police helicopter were called out after reports of gunfire.
A lone worker in Higham Mead reported being fired on in an incident which smashed his windows and lights.
Roads were closed and the helicopter circled the area trying to find the culprits, who once again fired when police were investigating the scene.
The terrified worker said:"It was quite powerful. It was smashing the windows and damaging the walls by lodging in the plaster. I've been here 12 years and there has been some damage to windows but nothing like this before."

Two armed response units and a police helicopter were scrambled to England Brothers workshop in Higham Mead, Chesham, following a call by a lone member of staff after air pellet shots smashed windows.
Around 15 officers surrounded the industrial unit and closed nearby Higham Road while the source of the pellets was tracked down.
The member of staff, who narrowly escaped being hit, said: "I was working in the building on a project on my own when air gun pellets started coming in through the window. I rang the police and an officer came down. While I was showing him the damage to the windows pellets started coming in again, just missing us both.
"He then in turn called armed response who came. I took them to the area again and while I was approaching the window more pellets came in."
Chesham-Guns-2.jpgThe member of staff, who did not want to be named, added: "I had to wait in a secure area within the building. It was quite frightening for me and the police. The immediate reaction as soon as you hear it is to stand back.
"It was quite powerful. It was smashing the windows and damaging the walls by lodging in the plaster. I've been here 12 years and there has been some damage to windows but nothing like this before.
"I just got very angry, if you can't work in a building without getting shot at."
Nine windows at the premises were smashed in the attack, he added.
Thames Valley police spokesman Carley Sparrow said: "Police were called to a firearms incident which turned out to be an air rifle in the end. We got a call at 3.40pm from someone working in an industrial unit in Higham Mead so there was a large police armed response and the helicopter was up from about 4.30pm to 5.30pm."
Chesham-Guns-3.jpgPolice spokesman Rebecca Webber added: "Police were at the site when some shots were fired. We don't believe they were fired deliberately at the police."
A telescopic air rifle was seized following the shooting.
A 14 and 16-year-old have been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage. They have been bailed until December 20.
