Profitable charity concert

Posted by Greg Burns on Nov 26, 08 03:36 PM in People

A community concert at The Elgiva yielded a profit of £1,839.38 for a charity called Pebbles, which supports local families with terminally ill children.
The charity, backed by town mayor Alison Pirouet, was compered by Major Fred Thompson from The Salvation Army.
Participants included the Southern Area Salvation Army Band, blind soprano soloist Lissa Hermans and members of the Brushwood Junior School Choir.
"The general consensus seemed to be same again next year, please, " said Major Kath Dolling, from the Chesham Salvation Army.
