Robbers posing as policemen

Three men posing as police officers demanded money from people in Penn and Chesham.

On Thursday, September 17 the men, who drove a white transit van, threatened to arrest their victims for jay walking if they failed to get into the van. Once inside the van, they were made to empty their pockets and hand over property.

DC Paul Cossey said: "The offenders are extremely convincing, especially for elderly and vulnerable members of the community.
"I would like to reassure people that police officers will never demand money or property in exchange for a wavered arrest and urge anyone who witnessed the crimes, has been a victim, or has any information that may help us with our investigation, to contact."
